For Immediate Release: January 28, 2021 

First-ever virtual Asian Pacific Islander Legislative Week kicks off February 1-5 

SEATTLE – The Asian Pacific Islander Coalition (APIC) and Asian Counseling and Referral Service (ACRS) invite members of the media to participate in the 2021 API Legislative Week, a week-long virtual event organized by APIC to ensure API voices are heard by state lawmakers.  Hundreds of community members from around the state will meet with elected officials virtually throughout the week to advocate for essential policies and programs AAPI communities rely on. The week starts with a kick-off meeting Monday morning that will include welcomes from community leaders, API legislators, and a special address from Governor Jay Inslee.

WHEN:      February 1-5, 2021. 9:30am- 5pm
